It takes less than an hour to install and set up the Spectra T120 library. With an intuitive configuration process, installation and configuration are simple. Installation is easy partly thanks to the Spectra T120 library's compatibility with all major backup packages and operating systems, and to the wide choice of library connectivity options-either direct-connect SCSI or Fibre Channel, or with controller-supported Gigabit Ethernet/iSCSI and Fibre Channel.

Easily Use and Manage the Spectra T120 Library
Using the library is easy, with the Spectra T120 library's intuitive color touch screen interface. This same interface is displayed remotely by the Remote Library Controller (RLC), which displays through any Web browser. This gives you the freedom to manage your Spectra T120 library from anywhere-your office, a different building, or a different country. Optionally, the Observatory management tool can help you manage multiple Spectra Logic libraries through a single screen.

Managing and maintaining your library is easy thanks to the library's built-in support features that include AutoSupport and an Assisted Self Maintenance (ASM) option. With AutoSupport, the library can e-mail product support a message that automatically supplies information about an issue. Grouped media using TeraPack technology saves you time because you handle tapes in groups, rather than one-by-one. Tapes are imported and exported in bar-coded packs to minimize the need to handle individual tapes. These same TeraPack containers have clear dust covers, so you can quickly review the pack's contents and easily store and stack tapes in on-site or off-site storage facilities.
